Gouin Reservoir fishing
The Gouin Reservoir has earned a well-deserved reputation for outstanding fishing. No wonder anglers come from far and wide to enjoy this charming spot and its abundant walleye and pike.
Spring is a great time to cast a line in one of the area’s many rivers and streams. The Motard River is just one of many spawning grounds, with others like the Cinq Milles and Delage rivers an easy half-hour away—perfect for an early spring start to the season.
Come summer there are tons of places for great fishing and big catches. Drift with the current across Bouzanquet and Brochet bays, two nice quiet areas well-known to anglers. If you’re using one of our houseboats you can also put in at Magnan, Marmette, or another bay. The only hard part is choosing!
To make fishing easier we’ve created our own topographical charts showing safe routes on the reservoir as well as shoals and prime fishing grounds. The map also displays the numbers posted on signs around the reservoir to facilitate navigation and help you discover the many great fishing areas.
For over five years now, we’ve also been offering guided outings for 4–6 in a 20 foot boat equipped with a 4-stroke 115 HP engine. There’s no better way to discover the best fishing spots and techniques on the Gouin Reservoir.
